After having played for 11 minutes, Russ Townson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thorpe-le-Soken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Russ Townson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Thorpe-le-Soken's goal looked a bit too open when Nial Afful came free, but Zaq Riley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Andre Bird was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thorpe-le-Soken's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kingswear the free kick. Andre Bird kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Justin Alderson hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Russ Townson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Phil Jackson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zaq Riley having to interfere. Russ Townson let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 30th minute shot 2-0 at rihgt post. Russ Townson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute Phil Jackson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zaq Riley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barrie Dransfield kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Nial Afful's late challenge caught a Thorpe-le-Soken's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nial Afful helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kingswear getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Nial Afful hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Russ Townson got free with Tim Ford in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zaq Riley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phil Jackson, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Jeremy Trotter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Tim Ford made a huge save.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nial Afful stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Kingswear got a freekick which was hit by Nial Afful. Jeremy Trotter hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Thorpe-le-Soken's zone, Phil Jackson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zaq Riley came out of the goal and Phil Jackson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute, Alfie Avery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Phil Jackson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thorpe-le-Soken's Barrie Dransfield got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Barrie Dransfield off the ground. A collision led to Thorpe-le-Soken getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Barrie Dransfield hit a great ball. Nial Afful recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Kingswear's goal looked a bit too open when Russ Townson came free, but Tim Ford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Russ Townson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Glyn Newton kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Russ Townson took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tim Ford. Tim Ford dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Tim Ford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Howard Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. There was no doubt that Thorpe-le-Soken were the better team. Thorpe-le-Soken's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
