Spectators: 7594 (Terracing: 5736, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 100) 3 minutes into the game, Dave Colton recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Stefan Drysdale. Dave Colton showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 6 minutes into the match, Rising Dragons's goalkeeper Stefan Drysdale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simon Tompkins. In the 10th minute, Simon Tompkins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Southampton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Stefan Drysdale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francis Donnelly's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. After having played for 14 minutes, Simon Tompkins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southampton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simon Tompkins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stefan Drysdale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francis Donnelly in the 16th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the game, Dave Colton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Stefan Drysdale was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stefan Drysdale made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Justin Nevin sent off a good shot on target. Simon Tompkins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simon Tompkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Drysdale having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Francis Donnelly kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Stefan Drysdale. That made the score 5-0 in the 35 minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Francis Donnelly lined in a short shot 6-0 behind a frustrated Stefan Drysdale. Rod Hislop kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Southampton's Stefan Drysdale threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Francis Donnelly, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matt Corbett to strike the kick off in the second half. Kev Frost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rod Hislop, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Simon Tompkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Drysdale having to interfere. In the 59th minute Simon Tompkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Drysdale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francis Donnelly blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stefan Drysdale having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francis Donnelly in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stefan Drysdale saved Rising Dragons from getting behind. 80 minutes into the match, Rising Dragons's goal looked a bit too open when Francis Donnelly came free, but Stefan Drysdale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simon Tompkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simon Tompkins scored 7-0 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stefan Drysdale, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Francis Donnelly sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute Francis Donnelly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stefan Drysdale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
