Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hawkstone United's Stuart Bartlett started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Hawkstone United's zone, Lee Appleton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glyn Conway came out of the goal and Lee Appleton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 6th minute, Damon Hart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Stuart Bartlett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hawkstone United's Damon Hart got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stuart Bartlett might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ged Castleton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stuart Bartlett ran back to his position shaking his head. 17 minutes into the game, Lee Appleton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Heskeyz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hawkstone United the free kick. In the 17th match minute, Heskeyz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lee Appleton to maneuver through the defense. Ged Castleton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stuart Bartlett in the 28th minute of play. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Stuart Bartlett sped through Heskeyz's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ged Castleton. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stuart Bartlett in the 37th minute of play forced Heskeyz's goalkeeper Ged Castleton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stuart Bartlett's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ged Castleton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Kasey Meadowcroft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ged Castleton having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Alistair Reeve hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lee Appleton to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damon Hart in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ged Castleton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 53 minutes into the match, Alistair Reeve notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Hawkstone United's Glyn Conway. Glyn Conway was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damon Hart in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ged Castleton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Glenn Morgan kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Alistair Reeve's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Glyn Conway read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Heskeyz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glenn Morgan to maneuver through the defense. Benji Bittner took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ged Castleton. Heskeyz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 81 played minutes Heskeyz got a freekick which was hit by Jacob Banks. The Heskeyz players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Hawkstone United from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
