Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rob Downton got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Heskeyz's Alistair Reeve sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alec Barker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alec Barker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lee Appleton, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. The Heskeyz fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Heskeyz's Lee Appleton looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lee Appleton in the 9th minute of play forced Kidderminster Harriers's goalkeeper Alec Barker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Karl Sugden got free in front of the goal in the 17th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ged Castleton was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Rob Downton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ged Castleton. The goal made the score 1-2. Rob Downton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ged Castleton having to interfere. If Rob Downton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lee Appleton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Kidderminster Harriers's Rob Downton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ged Castleton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ged Castleton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zack Weir in the 42nd minute. In the 46th minute, Rob Downton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The wind increased when Lee Appleton made the kick off in the second half. Kidderminster Harriers's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Lee Appleton scored to the left of an out of position Alec Barker, making the score, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rob Downton in the 56th minute of play forced Heskeyz's goalkeeper Ged Castleton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Karl Sugden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rob Downton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Heskeyz's goalkeeper Ged Castleton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ged Castleton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rob Downton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Kidderminster Harriers's zone, Alistair Reeve stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alec Barker came out of the goal and Alistair Reeve tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 80 minutes of play, Kidderminster Harriers's Rob Downton made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ged Castleton was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 88 played minutes Kidderminster Harriers got a freekick which was hit by Jeffrey Carroll. Alistair Reeve blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alec Barker having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Karl Sugden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kidderminster Harriers's supporters rose to their feet, but Karl Sugden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ged Castleton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Heskeyz's Ged Castleton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rob Downton in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Heskeyz's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Sugden came free, but Ged Castleton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Heskeyz had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
