With a left leg Shawn Pitts saved Red Bull from getting behind. Vince Pope recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 14 minutes, Stuart Bartlett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hawkstone United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stuart Bartlett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Damon Hart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 22 minutes, Vince Pope managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Damon Hart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Shawn Pitts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute Stuart Bartlett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shawn Pitts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29thth minute of the game Stuart Bartlett who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Bull's Shawn Pitts was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stuart Bartlett scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shawn Pitts, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Damon Hart came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Hawkstone United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damon Hart couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute, Damon Hart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

A collision led to Hawkstone United getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Kasey Meadowcroft hit a great ball. Vince Pope received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Glyn Conway tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerome Hopton in the 55th minute of play forced Hawkstone United's goalkeeper Glyn Conway to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 played minutes Red Bull got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Brooks. When Hawkstone United's Stuart Bartlett in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Red Bull's goalie prevented a goal. Shawn Pitts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damon Hart in the 68th minute. The Hawkstone United fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Hawkstone United's Damon Hart looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A hard shot 89 in the game by Stuart Bartlett from a close distance when the talented Shawn Pitts managed to make a qualified save. Red Bull's players were relieved. 91 minutes into the match, Hawkstone United's Stuart Bartlett sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Shawn Pitts narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Red Bull defense, Stuart Bartlett kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shawn Pitts. The Red Bull fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shawn Pitts should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Hawkstone United's Kasey Meadowcroft got a free kick in the 96th minute. Hawkstone United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
