Alistair Reeve scored 1-0 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shawn Pitts, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 16th match minute, Heskeyz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geoff Farrell to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Red Bull's Shawn Pitts got control of the ball when Alistair Reeve tried to sneak it across the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Red Bull's goalkeeper Shawn Pitts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alistair Reeve. A hard shot 27 in the game by Geoff Farrell from a close distance when the talented Shawn Pitts managed to make a qualified save. Red Bull's players were relieved. Ged Castleton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerome Hopton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Heskeyz booed when Red Bull was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthew Lennon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacob Banks was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 37th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Lee Appleton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ian Beasley came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Heskeyz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ian Beasley couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jerome Hopton was the one to do the kick off. Alistair Reeve fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shawn Pitts having to interfere. If Lee Appleton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th match minute, Red Bull was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthew Lennon to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lee Appleton in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shawn Pitts saved Red Bull from getting behind. When Heskeyz's Lee Appleton in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Red Bull's goalie prevented a goal. Shawn Pitts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lee Appleton in the 78th minute of the match. After 78 minutes, Matthew Lennon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Red Bull and the Heskeyz players grew even worse after the yellow card. Matthew Lennon kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Lee Appleton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 82 played minutes Red Bull got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Lennon. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lee Appleton in the 85th minute of play forced Red Bull's goalkeeper Shawn Pitts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vince Pope's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ged Castleton firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 88th minute, Jacob Pollard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lee Appleton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Red Bull's zone, Alistair Reeve stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Shawn Pitts came out of the goal and Alistair Reeve tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Heskeyz fully deserved thier win.
