Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fraser Read started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of Co Durham FC booed when Hawkstone United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasey Meadowcroft didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 7 minutes, Damon Hart made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Co Durham FC's Vern Delamore tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hawkstone United's Glyn Conway played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phil Nancy in the 10th minute of play. Joe Hunter was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 11 minutes into the match. Damon Hart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vern Delamore having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Hawkstone United's Damon Hart sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vern Delamore narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eddie Norton during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hawkstone United getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Eddie Norton hit a great ball. A collision led to Co Durham FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Archie Green hit a great ball. In the 27th match minute, Hawkstone United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominic Potter to maneuver through the defense. Damon Hart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Vern Delamore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vern Delamore was a little too slow when Eddie Norton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eddie Norton got free with Vern Delamore in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 43 minutes into the match, Co Durham FC's goalkeeper Vern Delamore had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Damon Hart. 45 minutes in the game, Damon Hart fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vern Delamore having to interfere. After 47 minutes of play, Hawkstone United's Damon Hart made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vern Delamore was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Damon Hart managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hawkstone United's supporters rose to their feet, but Damon Hart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vern Delamore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Damon Hart came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Hawkstone United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damon Hart couldn't finish the play. Vern Delamore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damon Hart, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Vern Delamore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damon Hart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Timothy Nottingham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hawkstone United's Glyn Conway played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fraser Read in the 70th minute of play. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Co Durham FC's goalkeeper Vern Delamore, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Co Durham FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Archie Green hit a great ball. Damon Hart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eddie Norton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vern Delamore having to make a save. Damon Hart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vern Delamore having to interfere. Damon Hart took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vern Delamore. Vern Delamore dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hawkstone United had played much better football throughout.
