One of FC Po Nalewce:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Honiton:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicholas Edwards in the 9th minute of play forced FC Po Nalewce's goalkeeper Jim Fairfax to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vic Ruddock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Gez Hall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jim Fairfax made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Curtis in the 17th minute of play. Nicholas Edwards fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Fairfax having to interfere. Jim Fairfax showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicholas Edwards in the 21st minute of the match. Lloyd Hewitt took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jim Fairfax. Jim Fairfax dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Jim Fairfax took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommy Curtis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 minutes of play, FC Po Nalewce's Vic Ruddock made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gez Hall was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jim Fairfax stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tommy Curtis's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. With his leg Gez Hall managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when FC Po Nalewce's Vic Ruddock fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jim Fairfax didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tommy Curtis went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Tommy Curtis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Jim Fairfax tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicholas Edwards struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Jim Fairfax didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honiton. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Honiton's Lloyd Hewitt got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute Nicholas Edwards shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Fairfax saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Loyd Blewett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Honiton booed when FC Po Nalewce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loyd Blewett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicholas Edwards sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicholas Edwards in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jim Fairfax saved FC Po Nalewce from getting behind. Vic Ruddock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gez Hall having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, Nicholas Edwards recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jim Fairfax. Nicholas Edwards showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. FC Po Nalewce's Jim Fairfax proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Po Nalewce from getting a goal against them. 84 minutes into the match, Vic Ruddock notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Honiton's Gez Hall. Gez Hall was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tommy Curtis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jim Fairfax tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
