Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Pierre Delamore made the kick off which started today's match. Pat Mitchell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shane Ratcliffe in the 5th minute of play. Pat Mitchell came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Stone's Pierre Delamore. But to his dismay, Pierre Delamore quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. New Romney's Pat Mitchell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shane Ratcliffe in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, New Romney's goal looked a bit too open when Shane Ratcliffe came free, but Pat Mitchell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Verne Attwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Ploughman having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, New Romney's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Burbeary came free, but Pat Mitchell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. New Romney's Pat Mitchell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Burbeary in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, New Romney's goal looked a bit too open when Shane Ratcliffe came free, but Pat Mitchell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pat Mitchell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Burbeary, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Nigel Swain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Ploughman having to interfere. New Romney's Verne Attwood got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 41 minutes, Nigel Swain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Romney's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nigel Swain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Alistair Hellen managed to get in a good position for a shot. New Romney's supporters rose to their feet, but Alistair Hellen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicholas Ploughman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stone's Nicholas Ploughman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pete Postolan in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Pete Postolan might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicholas Ploughman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pete Postolan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 54thth minute of the game Verne Attwood who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stone's Nicholas Ploughman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pat Mitchell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierre Delamore in the 57th minute of play. New Romney's Nigel Swain got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nigel Swain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Ploughman having to interfere. Verne Attwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Ploughman having to interfere. In the 68th minute Verne Attwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicholas Ploughman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pat Mitchell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Burbeary in the 70th minute. Pat Mitchell made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Pedro Burbeary sent off a good shot on target. When Joey Crocker fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stone's protests and gave Joey Crocker a yellow card for diving instead. Verne Attwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pat Mitchell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shane Ratcliffe, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Nigel Swain might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicholas Ploughman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nigel Swain ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 86th minute, Stone's Shane Ratcliffe ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pat Mitchell. Pat Mitchell yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. If Alistair Hellen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nigel Swain in the 91st minute of play forced Stone's goalkeeper Nicholas Ploughman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Shane Ratcliffe kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pat Mitchell. That made the score 1-3 in the 94 minute of play.
