Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Newton Aycliffe AFC's Den Bassett started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ben Hepburn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ashley Webster in the 6th minute of the match. Brendon Mayfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ben Hepburn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olly Parsons could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Tris Long made a huge save. Ashley Webster's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ben Hepburn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Ashley Webster had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ben Hepburn. Newton Aycliffe AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ashley Webster was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 25 played minutes Cleckheaton got a freekick which was hit by Greg Schofield. A collision led to Newton Aycliffe AFC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Joshua Pettifer hit a great ball. Ben Hepburn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kris Parks in the 28th minute of the match. If Ashley Webster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cleckheaton's zone, Den Bassett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tris Long came out of the goal and Den Bassett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ashley Webster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Ashley Webster's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ben Hepburn was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Newton Aycliffe AFC's Ben Hepburn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ashley Webster in the 41st minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ashley Webster made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ashley Webster got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute, Dion Busby sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Newton Aycliffe AFC's Ben Hepburn didn't even have to move. Ashley Websters short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Ben Hepburn to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Newton Aycliffe AFC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Den Bassett hit a great ball. After 71 played minutes, Cleckheaton's Dion Busby shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ben Hepburn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cleckheaton reached it. Kris Parks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eric Addison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Hepburn having to interfere. Ashley Webster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ben Hepburn made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Ashley Webster sent off a good shot on target. Brendon Mayfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kris Parks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ashley Webster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Hepburn having to interfere. Brendon Mayfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ben Hepburn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cleckheaton played a much better game than Newton Aycliffe AFC and deserved their victory. The Newton Aycliffe AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
