The referee ignored Heathrow FC's protests and gave Ozzy Waller a yellow card for diving instead. Joey Etherington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicholas Edwards, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joey Etherington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Curtis in the 18th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicholas Edwards made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tommy Curtis got free with Joey Etherington in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Isaac Chambers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gez Hall having to interfere. Honiton's Gez Hall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Gordon in the 78th minute of play.
