Spectators: 7550 (Terracing: 5664, Seating: 1736, VIP seats: 150) Pierre Delamore made the kick off and thus started the match. When the match clock showed 3 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ashley Webster sped through Stone's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicholas Ploughman. When Ashley Webster came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Cleckheaton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ashley Webster couldn't finish the play. When Shane Ratcliffe fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stone's protests and gave Shane Ratcliffe a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Shane Ratcliffe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ashley Webster blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicholas Ploughman having to make a save. After 10 played minutes Stone got a freekick which was hit by Pierre Delamore. Stone's Nicholas Ploughman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ashley Webster in the 12th minute of play. Cleckheaton's Dion Busby got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Shane Ratcliffe hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ashley Webster in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicholas Ploughman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 21st minute Brendon Mayfield shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicholas Ploughman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ashley Webster in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicholas Ploughman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joey Crocker hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Nicholas Ploughman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brendon Mayfield in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Kris Parks ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicholas Ploughman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cleckheaton's Kris Parks got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stone's Nicholas Ploughman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Addison in the 33rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Stone's zone, Dion Busby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicholas Ploughman came out of the goal and Dion Busby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ashley Webster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Ploughman having to interfere. Shane Ratcliffe hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After the first half Cleckheaton were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Pierre Delamore kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When Joey Crocker fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stone's protests and gave Joey Crocker a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st minute, Sammy Renner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Dion Busby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cleckheaton's supporters rose to their feet, but Dion Busby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicholas Ploughman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicholas Ploughman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kris Parks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ashley Webster in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicholas Ploughman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 73 minutes into the match, Cleckheaton's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre Delamore came free, but Tris Long reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute of the match Dion Busby sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicholas Ploughman skillfully saved the ball. If Ashley Webster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Eric Addison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Greg Schofield managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cleckheaton's supporters rose to their feet, but Greg Schofield was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicholas Ploughman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the match, Stone's goalkeeper Nicholas Ploughman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ashley Webster. Shane Ratcliffe was shown his second yellow card after 95 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 96 played minutes Stone got a freekick which was hit by Shane Ratcliffe. Ashley Webster hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Cleckheaton played a much better game than Stone and deserved their victory. The Stone players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
