Spectators: 6518 (Terracing: 5743, Seating: 700, VIP seats: 75) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Allan Stamp took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gregory Goldsmith during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes southampton got a freekick which was hit by Gregory Goldsmith. The supporters of southampton booed when Lavendon City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sam Bond didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Robbie Cooper was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lavendon City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave southampton the free kick. 10 minutes into the game, one of Lavendon City:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Kristopher Chilton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malcolm Mayall in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Lavendon City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Stone to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd match minute, Lavendon City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Stone to maneuver through the defense. Allan Stamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Kristopher Chilton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malcolm Mayall might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kristopher Chilton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Malcolm Mayall ran back to his position shaking his head. Aaron Baxter hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Guy Gunn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lavendon City's Guy Gunn was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 33rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 40 minutes into the game, Perry Laycock recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dylon Hughes-Guy. Perry Laycock showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Allan Stamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Kristopher Chilton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guy Gunn made a kick off. Guy Gunn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Malcolm Mayall charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Malcolm Mayall the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, Malcolm Mayall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guy Gunn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dylon Hughes-Guy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Dylon Hughes-Guy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Perry Laycock went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 75th minute, Guy Gunn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th minute of the match Aaron Baxter shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kristopher Chilton showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Guy Gunn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kristopher Chilton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Stamp in the 81st minute of the match. Dylon Hughes-Guy came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Lavendon City's Guy Gunn. But to his dismay, Guy Gunn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Dylon Hughes-Guy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Perry Laycock, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Dylon Hughes-Guy came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Lavendon City's Guy Gunn. But to his dismay, Guy Gunn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Perry Laycock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Dylon Hughes-Guy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Guy Gunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lavendon City walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
