Guy Gunns short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Charles Jefferies to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kristopher Chilton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Burnham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lavendon City's Kristopher Chilton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Lane in the 39th minute of play. Kristopher Chilton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Burnham in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45th minute Lennie Woolcock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristopher Chilton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

57 minutes into the match, Dave Lane notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Lavendon City's Kristopher Chilton. Kristopher Chilton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
