William Haylock scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Scott Barat, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute, William Haylock ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Scott Barat was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 29 minutes, Ralf Knightley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the burton united and the Stoke Lodge Rovers players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 29th match minute, burton united was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Knightley to maneuver through the defense. Rowan Pye-Finch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralf Knightley in the 32nd minute of the match. Lance Wiley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Rowan Pye-Finch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gary Brook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lance Wiley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. William Haylock's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Scott Barat skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. William Haylock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Stoke Lodge Rovers getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Josh Hartley hit a great ball. Scott Barat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gary Brook in the 77th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in burton united's zone, Gary Brook stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Scott Barat came out of the goal and Gary Brook tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind burton united's goalkeeper Scott Barat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. burton united's Scott Barat proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save burton united from getting a goal against them. Rufus Elliott's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rowan Pye-Finch read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Scott Barat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gary Brook in the 86th minute of play. If Rufus Elliott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, burton united's goalkeeper Scott Barat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by William Haylock. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gary Brook in the 100th minute of play forced burton united's goalkeeper Scott Barat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stoke Lodge Rovers's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
