Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Brandon Halliday started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Larry Wilberforce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Luke Horner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luke Horner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stewart Lilley, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Honiton's goal looked a bit too open when Larry Wilberforce came free, but Luke Horner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luke Horner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Larry Wilberforce in the 15th minute of play. Luke Horner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stewart Lilley, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Luke Horner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Larry Wilberforce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hammersmith's Larry Wilberforce got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stewart Lilley in the 37th minute of play forced Honiton's goalkeeper Luke Horner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Larry Wilberforce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hammersmith's supporters rose to their feet, but Larry Wilberforce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luke Horner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hammersmith's Larry Wilberforce got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Larry Wilberforce to make the kick off. In the 57th minute Larry Wilberforce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Horner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Micheal Housham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Hammersmith booed when Honiton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brandon Halliday didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute Hammersmith were awarded a corner. Stewart Lilley went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Hammersmith's corner Stewart Lilley fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luke Horner quite easily take care of the ball. If Larry Wilberforce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 65 minutes into the match, Honiton's goalkeeper Luke Horner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vic Tipton. If Larry Wilberforce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 74 minutes, Larry Wilberforce made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Honiton's Luke Horner tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th match minute, Honiton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stan Newbury to maneuver through the defense. Bryan Giugno hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Luke Horner had great luck who in the 86thth minute grab hold of the ball when Larry Wilberforce from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 88th minute, Larry Wilberforce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute, Larry Wilberforce fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Luke Horner, passed just outside the right post. In the 93rd minute Larry Wilberforce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Horner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
