Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 4700, Seating: 1275, VIP seats: 25) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lloyd Beale kicked off to start the match. Lloyd Beale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Mansfield read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Hot-Spurs's Ted Hammett got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ted Hammett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Pedro Mansfield tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Hot-Spurs's zone, Nat Shuttleworth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zack Coote came out of the goal and Nat Shuttleworth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jude Reddington's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zack Coote read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Lloyd Beale scored 0-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Mansfield, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ted Hammett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Mansfield having to interfere. Louis Merchant kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Vince Saxton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Maine Road FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lloyd Beale came free, but Pedro Mansfield reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Lloyd Beale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Mansfield was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Ted Hammett took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Mansfield. Pedro Mansfield dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Lloyd Beale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jude Reddington made a kick off. Jude Reddington took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zack Coote. Zack Coote dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Pedro Mansfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lloyd Beale, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. If Ted Hammett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ted Hammett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Pedro Mansfield made a huge save. Jude Reddington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tod Sherman charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tod Sherman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tod Sherman kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ted Hammett got free with Pedro Mansfield in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pedro Mansfield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lloyd Beale in the 73rd minute of play. Mattias Dunn's late challenge caught a Maine Road FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mattias Dunn helped the player get up and apologised. Louis Merchant took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zack Coote. Hot-Spurs's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Maine Road FC's zone, Mattias Dunn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Mansfield came out of the goal and Mattias Dunn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Mansfield made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ted Hammett in the 86th minute. Ted Hammett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ted Hammett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Mansfield having to interfere. When the match was over Hot-Spurs could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Maine Road FC throughout the match.
