Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Stan Cain kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Exeter's goal looked a bit too open when Larry Wilberforce came free, but Kevin Watson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 4 played minutes Hammersmith got a freekick which was hit by Larry Wilberforce. Kevin Watson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Larry Wilberforce in the 8th minute of the match. The supporters of Exeter booed when Hammersmith was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stewart Lilley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luke Billington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lewis Rigg in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Stewart Lilley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kevin Watson. Exeter's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stewart Lilley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ben Murray hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. A collision led to Hammersmith getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Ruben Lawson hit a great ball. Luke Billington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben Murray in the 21st minute of the match. When Vic Tipton fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hammersmith's protests and gave Vic Tipton a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, Hammersmith was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vic Tipton to maneuver through the defense. After 26 minutes, Ruben Lawson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hammersmith and the Exeter players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ruben Lawson kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Hammersmith's Luke Billington played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lewis Rigg in the 27th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Larry Wilberforce reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kevin Watson. The goal made the score 2-0. 36 minutes into the match, Exeter's goal looked a bit too open when Larry Wilberforce came free, but Kevin Watson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 39 minutes, Larry Wilberforce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammersmith's supporters crossed their fingers, but Larry Wilberforce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With 44 minutes on the clock, Lewis Swift commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 44th minute, one of Exeter:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Exeter. Kevin Watson went to the wrong direction when Stewart Lilley was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Larry Wilberforce stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Exeter's Kevin Watson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larry Wilberforce in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54thth minute of the game Larry Wilberforce who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Exeter's Kevin Watson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Exeter's goal looked a bit too open when Larry Wilberforce came free, but Kevin Watson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Larry Wilberforce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Kevin Watson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Exeter's Kevin Watson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larry Wilberforce in the 68th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Micheal Housham during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kevin Watson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Larry Wilberforce in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stewart Lilley in the 77th minute of play forced Exeter's goalkeeper Kevin Watson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luke Billington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ashley Pearch, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Rod Younger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Exeter's supporters rose to their feet, but Rod Younger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luke Billington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kevin Watson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stewart Lilley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute Larry Wilberforce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevin Watson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hammersmith's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
