Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Larry Wilberforce took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 8th minute Harry Edworthy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Billington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Larry Wilberforce kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sol Simms. That made the score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. In the 20th minute, Hammersmith's Larry Wilberforce dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. After 22 minutes, Larry Wilberforce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hammersmith and the Ebley City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Larry Wilberforce kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Dan McDonald hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute Stan White shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Billington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 minutes, Dan McDonald made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Hammersmith's Luke Billington tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute, Stan White got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Harry Edworthy made a precise shot to the right of Luke Billington. Hammersmith's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. 36 minutes into the match, Hammersmith's goal looked a bit too open when Stan White came free, but Luke Billington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Jay Welsh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

With a little luck, Hammersmith's Luke Billington got control of the ball when Dan McDonald tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dan McDonald's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luke Billington firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 58th minute, Barney Adamson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Larry Wilberforce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Hammersmith booed when Ebley City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Edworthy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 played minutes Ebley City got a freekick which was hit by Barney Adamson. After some careless play in the Ebley City defense, Larry Wilberforce kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sol Simms. The Ebley City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sol Simms should have stopped the shot. In the 74th minute of the match Jay Welsh sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luke Billington skillfully saved the ball. Luke Billington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry Edworthy in the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Harry Edworthy reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luke Billington. The goal made the score 4-4. Barney Adamson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Luke Billington made a huge save. Sol Simms didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Larry Wilberforce went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-4 was the resulting score. Larry Wilberforce hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Ebley City's Luke Billington threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Harry Edworthy, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hammersmith's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
