Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Trey Bland started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the match, Sevenoaks's goal looked a bit too open when Francis Bowler came free, but Jake Beavan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Francis Bowler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brian Stockley in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jake Beavan saved Sevenoaks from getting behind. Francis Bowler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jake Beavan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fred Sykes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Nick Fleming when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 16th minute, Francis Bowler made a precise shot to the right of Jake Beavan. Sevenoaks's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Brian Stockley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Jake Beavan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fred Sykes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nick Fleming having to interfere. Brian Stockley scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jake Beavan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Hook AFC's Francis Bowler in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sevenoaks's goalie prevented a goal. The Hook AFC fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Hook AFC's Francis Bowler looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Trey Bland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Hook AFC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jake Beavan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francis Bowler, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian Stockley in the 57th minute of play forced Sevenoaks's goalkeeper Jake Beavan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fred Sykes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nick Fleming having to interfere. Ty Gaskell charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ty Gaskell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Francis Bowler got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Hook AFC's Nick Fleming played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trey Bland in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hook AFC's Ted Chipperfield got a free kick in the 89th minute. A collision led to Sevenoaks getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Trey Bland hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hook AFC's zone, Fred Sykes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nick Fleming came out of the goal and Fred Sykes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 93 played minutes Sevenoaks got a freekick which was hit by Nicky King. The Sevenoaks supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hook AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Hook AFC.
