Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After having played for 3 minutes, Phillip Clay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dag & Red's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phillip Clay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 6th minute, Mitch Coulson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dag & Red fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Coppull FC's Ashley Bye played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Roebuck in the 11th minute of play. Phillip Clay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ashley Bye tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ashley Bye made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mitch Coulson in the 17th minute of play. Alan Oldham kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Mitch Coulson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 26 played minutes Coppull FC got a freekick which was hit by Dominik Laycock. The audience was convinced that Mitch Coulson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ashley Bye was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Phillip Clay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ashley Bye tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jerry Grayson charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jerry Grayson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th minute, Jerry Grayson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Trevor Lock fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coppull FC's protests and gave Trevor Lock a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 minutes, Mick Mann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coppull FC and the Dag & Red players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Coppull FC got a freekick which was hit by Mick Mann. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Darryl Sykes struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Tim Alsford didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coppull FC. Jerry Grayson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ashley Bye having to interfere. Jerry Grayson hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. The supporters of Dag & Red booed when Coppull FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darryl Sykes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darryl Sykes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Alsford having to interfere. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dag & Red's goalkeeper Tim Alsford, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ashley Bye showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mitch Coulson in the 68th minute of the match. Darryl Sykes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tim Alsford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Mitch Coulson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ashley Bye having to interfere. David Turner kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Coppull FC's zone, Mitch Coulson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ashley Bye came out of the goal and Mitch Coulson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dag & Red played a much better game than Coppull FC and deserved their victory. The Coppull FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
