Spectators: 5766 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1766, VIP seats: 0) Kasey Bourne started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The supporters of Dag & Red booed when Chattenden Critters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasey Bourne didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kasey Bourne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 played minutes Chattenden Critters got a freekick which was hit by Albert Corbett. A collision led to Dag & Red getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Jerry Grayson hit a great ball. When Mitch Coulson came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Dag & Red fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mitch Coulson couldn't finish the play. Jez Browne hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Jerry Grayson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Vance Knight showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phillip Clay in the 28th minute of the match. A collision led to Chattenden Critters getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Jez Browne hit a great ball. Vance Knight showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mitch Coulson, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Mattias Roebuck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dag & Red's supporters rose to their feet, but Mattias Roebuck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vance Knight breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 61st minute, Nathan Dunlop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kasey Bourne blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tim Alsford having to make a save. With his leg Tim Alsford managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Chattenden Critters's Kasey Bourne fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Kasey Bourne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Tim Alsford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vance Knight showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mitch Coulson, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Kasey Bourne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chattenden Critters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kasey Bourne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dag & Red were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
