The audience was convinced that Kristian Howarth's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stew Redwood-Turner was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Marek Clay made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Shaun Rashleigh sent off a good shot on target. Shaun Rashleigh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Marek Clay made a huge save. If Shaun Rashleigh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Derry Hill's Howard Knowles got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 40 played minutes azza united got a freekick which was hit by Josh Senior. Derry Hill's Anthony Coyle got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Kristian Howarth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stew Redwood-Turner having to interfere. Shaun Rashleigh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marek Clay having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kristian Howarth got free with Stew Redwood-Turner in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Despite this Stew Redwood-Turner quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Felix Hutchinson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shaun Rashleigh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Marek Clay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anthony Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bill Colt fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored azza united's protests and gave Bill Colt a yellow card for diving instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Derry Hill had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
