Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alfie Tubbs started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Ralf Gill notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of INVASION's Pat Willoughby. Pat Willoughby was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bakewell FC's Peter Wooding played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garth Sheldon in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, INVASION was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Warren Longthorn to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute Alfie Tubbs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pat Willoughby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When INVASION's Sean Hackney in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bakewell FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 29th match minute, INVASION was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garth Sheldon to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the game, Gez Adams cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Peter Wooding was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ralf Gill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pat Willoughby having to interfere. In the 43rd match minute, INVASION was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brandon Stonehouse to maneuver through the defense. Michael Land charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michael Land the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bakewell FC! The goalkeeper, Peter Wooding, was totally fooled by INVASION's Gavin Alsford, who 48 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

Gez Adams recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ralf Gill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Pat Willoughby made a huge save. After a rather tough play, INVASION's Vincent Clement got a free kick in the 65th minute. Ralf Gill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pat Willoughby having to interfere. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind INVASION's goalkeeper Pat Willoughby, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Vincent Clement hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfie Tubbs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Sean Hackney managed to get in a good position for a shot. INVASION's supporters rose to their feet, but Sean Hackney was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Wooding breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the game, Cody Darko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bakewell FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INVASION the free kick. Cody Darko kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After 92 played minutes Bakewell FC got a freekick which was hit by Tim Shackleton. The audience was convinced that Sean Hackney's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter Wooding was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. After 95 minutes, Alastair Davey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bakewell FC and the INVASION players grew even worse after the yellow card. Peter Wooding took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sean Hackney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. INVASION were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Bakewell FC for a fine match.
