Alfred Hunt was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Luke Sedgemore came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the South Benfleet FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luke Sedgemore couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Luke Sedgemore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfred Hunt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gez Adams in the 91st minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. INVASION had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
