FreshFord FC's Joel Botham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Austen Stone in the 7th minute of play. When Luke Sedgemore came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the South Benfleet FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luke Sedgemore couldn't finish the play. Joel Botham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Austen Stone in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, FreshFord FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Little to maneuver through the defense. Alfred Hunt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Little in the 22nd minute of play. Luke Sedgemore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th match minute, FreshFord FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Don Bennett to maneuver through the defense. Austen Stone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Austen Stone succeeded in the game's 34th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. Simon Bellamy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Jermaine Hamilton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Austen Stone's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Botham was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Luke Sedgemore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Botham having to interfere. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind FreshFord FC's goalkeeper Joel Botham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Austen Stone made the kick off in the second half. Alfred Hunt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sly Rawson, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Alistair Kirk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Botham having to interfere. Alistair Kirk struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Joel Botham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for South Benfleet FC. Austen Stone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Botham was out of position in the 76 minute of play, and Alistair Kirk capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alistair Kirk really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. When Rowan Timiney fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored South Benfleet FC's protests and gave Rowan Timiney a yellow card for diving instead. Rowan Timiney hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. South Benfleet FC's Austen Stone got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Austen Stone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joel Botham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Austen Stone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The FreshFord FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. South Benfleet FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
