Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. If Dean Higgins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute, Rupert Robson made a precise shot to the right of Jay Hill. Harleston FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Mick Courtney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute, Paul Nelthorpe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Harvey Moxon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. DINAMO BUCURESTI's Victor Ross suffered a concussion in the 23rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Paul Nelthorpe kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Rupert Robson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jay Hill having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Leigh Lane got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute Mick Courtney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harvey Moxon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Alistair Meadowcroft hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 38 minutes, Rupert Robson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DINAMO BUCURESTI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rupert Robson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rufus Duxbury during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mick Courtney to make the kick off. Harleston FC's Jay Hill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dean Higgins in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, Harleston FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rufus Duxbury to maneuver through the defense. Robin Stead's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Harvey Moxon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 62 played minutes DINAMO BUCURESTI got a freekick which was hit by Vinnie Bettney. Robin Stead received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Harvey Moxon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. DINAMO BUCURESTI's Dean Higgins got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rupert Robson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alistair Meadowcroft charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alistair Meadowcroft the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to DINAMO BUCURESTI getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Vinnie Bettney hit a great ball. In the 90th minute Rupert Robson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jay Hill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Harleston FC's goalkeeper Jay Hill, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 96 minutes into the match, Harleston FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rupert Robson came free, but Jay Hill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
