Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alfie Tubbs started the match with the kick off. Ralf Gill in the 3rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joel Botham, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfie Tubbs in the 5th minute of play forced FreshFord FC's goalkeeper Joel Botham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Alastair Davey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sly Rawson in the 20th minute of play forced Bakewell FC's goalkeeper Peter Wooding to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Wooding showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Little in the 26th minute of the match. A collision led to Bakewell FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Tim Shackleton hit a great ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Bakewell FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FreshFord FC:s goal. In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for FreshFord FC. Martin Moore stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Peter Wooding. 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Alfie Tubbs kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joel Botham. That made the score 1-1 in the 37 minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Bakewell FC's Ralf Gill nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Botham made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Damon Walton made the kick off in the second half. Tim Shackleton kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute of the match Martin Moore sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Peter Wooding skillfully saved the ball. Ralf Gill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Joel Botham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ralf Gill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Botham having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Robert Little hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Bakewell FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Alfie Tubbs hit a great ball. Bakewell FC's Peter Wooding played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damon Walton in the 68th minute of play. Joel Botham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfie Tubbs's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. After 80 minutes of play, Bakewell FC's Ralf Gill made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joel Botham was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bakewell FC's Peter Wooding proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Bakewell FC from getting a goal against them. Ralf Gill took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Botham. Joel Botham dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Damon Walton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Peter Wooding tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tim Shackleton fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bakewell FC's protests and gave Tim Shackleton a yellow card for diving instead. Bakewell FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
