Rufus Booker's late challenge caught a Kingswear United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rufus Booker helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristopher Millman in the 26th minute of play forced Kingswear United's goalkeeper Ethan Edwards to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 28 minutes, Sean Ottaway managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kingswear United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sean Ottaway was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sean Ottaway to make the kick off. When Gerry Bourne came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Bromborough fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerry Bourne couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerry Bourne in the 75th minute of play forced Kingswear United's goalkeeper Ethan Edwards to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sean Ottaway fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alec Marston having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Sean Ottaway got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th minute, Eric Kay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute of the match Ron Rider sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alec Marston skillfully saved the ball. The Bromborough players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Kingswear United from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
