Casey Griggs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Drew Osbon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ian Cheetham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fred Ward blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kyle Scholey having to make a save. When Casey Griggs came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Wallasey City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casey Griggs couldn't finish the play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Wallasey City's Ian Cheetham in the 23rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Drew Osbon was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Milton through an amazing save. Drew Osbon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Casey Griggs showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Casey Griggs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wallasey City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casey Griggs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rupert Cryer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyle Scholey having to interfere. Ian Cheetham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Drew Osbon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Milton's Drew Osbon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Cheetham in the 39th minute of play. Fred Ward sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the game, Casey Griggs cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Drew Osbon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ian Cheetham to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Casey Griggs notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Milton's Drew Osbon. Drew Osbon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kyle Scholey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rupert Cryer in the 56th minute of the match. Casey Griggs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Casey Griggs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Drew Osbon was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Wallasey City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Milton the free kick. 77 minutes into the game, Wallasey City's Casey Griggs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Drew Osbon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Damon Lane's late challenge caught a Wallasey City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damon Lane helped the player get up and apologised. Wallasey City's Kieran Coulthard couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Milton. In the 85th minute, Casey Griggs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ian Cheetham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Drew Osbon having to make a save. In the 91st match minute, Milton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryan Shakespeare to maneuver through the defense. Wallasey City's Ian Cheetham got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Milton's Drew Osbon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casey Griggs in the 94th minute of play. Rupert Cryer hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Wallasey City fully deserved thier win.
