Marc Picker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute, Jeff Bellamy made a precise shot to the right of Pierre Delaney. South Woodford United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Sammy Bailey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marc Picker succeeded in the game's 16th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sammy Bailey in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stevie Groom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pierre Delaney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeff Bellamy, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Sammy Bailey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stevie Groom having to interfere. Sammy Bailey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marc Picker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. South Woodford United's Sammy Bailey saw an opening behind the goalie Stevie Groom in the 36thth minute and tried to shoot past into the top right corner, but with great reflexes Stevie Groom with one arm managed to save the shot in the last secound. With a little luck, Pewsey FC's Stevie Groom got control of the ball when Marc Picker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stevie Groom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marc Picker in the 42nd minute. Marc Picker who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Stevie Groom when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 47 minutes, Marcus Sawyer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pewsey FC and the South Woodford United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th minute, Marcus Sawyer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeff Bellamy to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mickey Hunter in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stevie Groom saved Pewsey FC from getting behind. Francis Hughes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Marc Picker managed to get in a good position for a shot. South Woodford United's supporters rose to their feet, but Marc Picker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stevie Groom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When South Woodford United's Sammy Bailey in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pewsey FC's goalie prevented a goal. Stevie Groom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sammy Bailey, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 74th match minute, Pewsey FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jude McDonald to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, South Woodford United's Stew Locking broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Nat Odell charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nat Odell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marc Picker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Stevie Groom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Marc Picker managed to get in a good position for a shot. South Woodford United's supporters rose to their feet, but Marc Picker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When the referee ended the match the South Woodford United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
