Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Reg Eastham made the kick off which started today's match. Hereford's Scott Todd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reg Eastham in the 11th minute of play. Blair Ingham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Scott Todd having to make a save. In the 21st minute, Welford's Reg Eastham ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Scott Todd. Scott Todd yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 24thth minute of the game Reg Eastham who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hereford's Scott Todd was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Scott Peyton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calum Notley in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reg Eastham in the 28th minute of play forced Hereford's goalkeeper Scott Todd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calum Notley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If John Paul Higgins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hereford's John Paul Higgins got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Scott Todd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reg Eastham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Blair Ingham could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Scott Todd made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and John Paul Higgins made a kick off. Reg Eastham took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Scott Todd. Scott Todd dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reg Eastham in the 58th minute of play forced Hereford's goalkeeper Scott Todd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Calum Notley came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Hereford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calum Notley couldn't finish the play. Welford's Scott Peyton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Welford from getting a goal against them. Scott Todd stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blair Ingham's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reg Eastham during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 85 minutes into the match, Hereford's Calum Notley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Scott Peyton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hereford's Calum Notley got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Calum Notley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Welford's Blair Ingham got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reg Eastham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Scott Todd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Blair Ingham ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Scott Todd was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0.
