Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ash Barratt made the kick off which started today's match. The audience was convinced that Archie Lamb's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martyn Gough was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Sam Fleming struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Martyn Gough didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kelvedon AFC. Norby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kelvedon AFC the free kick. Bradley Hollingsworth who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Ricky Dumpleton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Norby's Martyn Gough played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Archie Lamb in the 24th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Archie Lamb in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martyn Gough saved Norby from getting behind. Bradley Hollingsworth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Ricky Dumpleton made a huge save. In the 35th minute, Norby's Ash Barratt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 44 minutes into the match, Archie Lamb had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martyn Gough. Norby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Archie Lamb was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.
When Don Platt fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Norby's protests and gave Don Platt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd match minute, Norby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Don Platt to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ash Barratt during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ash Barratt kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Martyn Gough made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Archie Lamb in the 79th minute of play. Norby's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sammy Holdroyd in the 82nd minute. Sammy Holdroyd made a great header on Norby's corner, it was just that Kelvedon AFC's Ricky Dumpleton managed to reach the ball for a save. Sam Fleming struck a weak shot in the 84th minute.
