To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mini Citizens's Pedro Purvis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zack Kennedy. That made the score 1-1 after 34 minutes of play. When Craig McRobbie fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Twickenham's protests and gave Craig McRobbie a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Craig McRobbie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zack Kennedy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Purvis in the 39th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Billie Hawkins during the 41st minute. Benjamin Dowdall didn't quite understand what happened when in the 43 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. 46 minutes into the match, Damien Sheridan notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Mini Citizens's Pete Green. Pete Green was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Mini Citizens players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pedro Purvis might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zack Kennedy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Purvis ran back to his position shaking his head. If Joe Smart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
