Steven Singleton scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walter Bowen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 10th minute, Benjamin Bedford got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 11 played minutes Reject United FC got a freekick which was hit by Lenny Shaw. Lennie Baker made in the 15th minute of the game a quick throw-in and David Dowrick immediately put the ball in play. After a defensive mix-up in Reject United FC's zone, David Dowrick stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walter Bowen came out of the goal and David Dowrick tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Steven Singleton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Conal Denham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garry Malpeli in the 20th minute of the match. Garth Knightley scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Conal Denham, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Reject United FC's Alexander Hinshelwood got a free kick in the 24th minute. When Garry Malpeli came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Reject United FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garry Malpeli couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Reject United FC booed when Wanborough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wayne Cooke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lenny Shaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lenny Shaw might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Conal Denham. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lenny Shaw ran back to his position shaking his head. Lenny Shaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Garry Malpeli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reject United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Garry Malpeli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conal Denham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 54 minutes of play, Wanborough's Rufus Perkins made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walter Bowen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Reject United FC's Garth Knightley quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ashley Woods, made in the 61st minute of the game. In the 64th minute, Garry Malpeli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lenny Shaw's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conal Denham read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Benjamin Bedford charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benjamin Bedford the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Wanborough getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Benjamin Bedford hit a great ball. Wanborough's Conal Denham proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Wanborough from getting a goal against them. Stu Kershaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lenny Shaw recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 94 minutes of play, Wanborough's Rufus Perkins made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walter Bowen was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew the final whistle, Wanborough could leave the field as winners, despite Reject United FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
