Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zak Bullard started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes spurs city got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Budge. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zak Bullard in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ross Westlake prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zak Bullard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ross Westlake having to interfere. Alexander Budge hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Bob Woodyat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kasey Potter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hertford AFC's Bob Woodyat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marty Blackburn in the 15th minute of play. If Marty Blackburn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. spurs city's Marty Blackburn got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, spurs city's goal looked a bit too open when Zak Bullard came free, but Ross Westlake reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Billy Edgson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ross Westlake having to interfere. Marty Blackburn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Bob Woodyat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, spurs city's Kasey Potter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bob Woodyat made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marty Blackburn in the 42nd minute of play forced Hertford AFC's goalkeeper Bob Woodyat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bob Woodyat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kasey Potter in the 43rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Marty Blackburn managed to get in a good position for a shot. spurs city's supporters rose to their feet, but Marty Blackburn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bob Woodyat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kasey Potter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kasey Potter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Bob Woodyat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Kasey Potter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bob Woodyat was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. If Billy Edgson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Alexander Budge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Hertford AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Kasey Potter came free, but Bob Woodyat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marty Blackburn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bob Woodyat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. spurs city's Kasey Potter got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kasey Potter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute, Alexander Budge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Zak Bullard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in spurs city's zone, Zak Bullard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ross Westlake came out of the goal and Zak Bullard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Marty Blackburn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. spurs city's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marty Blackburn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kasey Potter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. spurs city walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
