The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Spike Moody stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Timothy Green's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johnny Mimms read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Lewis Sheridan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kentish Town's supporters rose to their feet, but Lewis Sheridan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wayne Buckle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Lewis Sheridan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. Simon Whiteley might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wayne Buckle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simon Whiteley ran back to his position shaking his head. Kentish Town were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
