Spectators: 6758 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tristram Lister kicked off to start the match. Christopher Purvis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bobby Selby having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Tristram Lister managed to get in a good position for a shot. AFC Chiron's supporters rose to their feet, but Tristram Lister was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bobby Selby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kieran Church kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Radcliffe's Bobby Selby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Merris in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, AFC Chiron's Tristram Lister sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bobby Selby narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Radcliffe's zone, Christopher Purvis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bobby Selby came out of the goal and Christopher Purvis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute Tristram Lister shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bobby Selby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Tristram Lister ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bobby Selby was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Tristram Lister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bobby Selby having to interfere. Tristram Lister's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bobby Selby read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute Christopher Purvis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bobby Selby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Mahon was the one to do the kick off. Tristram Lister received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Bobby Selby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, Christopher Purvis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bobby Selby. Radcliffe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christopher Purvis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. 59 minutes into the game, Roger Fish was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC Chiron's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Radcliffe the free kick. The supporters of Radcliffe booed when AFC Chiron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Fish didn't get a good kick on the ball. If David Mahon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tristram Lister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teddy Tully made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Mahon in the 68th minute of play. Bobby Selby made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christopher Purvis in the 69th minute. If Christopher Purvis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Rueben Stobbs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teddy Tully made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurence Prior in the 84th minute of play. After 87 minutes, Rueben Stobbs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC Chiron and the Radcliffe players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, AFC Chiron's Rueben Stobbs got a free kick in the 87th minute. Laurence Prior fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teddy Tully having to interfere. Radcliffe's Bobby Selby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tristram Lister in the 95th minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Radcliffe's goalkeeper Bobby Selby had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christopher Purvis. When the match was over AFC Chiron could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Radcliffe throughout the match.
