Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Arsenal F.C's Nial Togwell started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Gerry Beresford came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Arsenal F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerry Beresford couldn't finish the play. In the 4th minute Nial Togwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bob Woodyat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerry Beresford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Bob Woodyat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nial Togwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bob Woodyat having to interfere. If Gerry Beresford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Nial Togwell made a precise shot to the right of Bob Woodyat. Hertford AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Hertford AFC's Bob Woodyat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nial Togwell in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Arsenal F.C's Gerry Beresford nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bob Woodyat made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Vance Bow hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Nial Togwell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arsenal F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vance Bow during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zak Bullard to strike the kick off in the second half. Gerry Beresford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Hertford AFC's Ivor Brooks got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute of the match Donald Haskell shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bob Woodyat showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bob Woodyat had great luck who in the 60thth minute grab hold of the ball when Nial Togwell from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Pierce Woodhall stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zak Bullard's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 70th minute, Nial Togwell fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Bob Woodyat stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nial Togwell's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. After 75 minutes of play, Hertford AFC's Billy Edgson made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pierce Woodhall was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dave Hassell kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Nial Togwell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 81 minutes in the game, Nial Togwell fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Bob Woodyat having to interfere. Arsenal F.C's Nial Togwell got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nial Togwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Bob Woodyat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierce Woodhall didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Billy Edgson went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Pierce Woodhall came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Hertford AFC's Zak Bullard. But to his dismay, Zak Bullard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. Many of Arsenal F.C's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Arsenal F.C may have spent more time on the ball, but Hertford AFC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
