Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sebastien Tuck got the match started through his kick off. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Sebastien Tuck took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Trev Hellen to make any attempt to save it. Ivan Downing who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Trev Hellen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jeremy Hardy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jermaine Pennant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ludlow getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jeremy Hardy hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Witney's Sebastien Tuck slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Trev Hellen. That made the score 2-0 after 21 minutes of play. Graham Gascoigne kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Marty Hodges left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ludlow fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Louie Reid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Jermaine Pennant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ludlow's Trev Hellen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastien Tuck in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Louie Reid to make the kick off. Jeremy Hardy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jermaine Pennant having to make a save. Kris Blackwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trev Hellen having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Hayden Law made a precise shot to the right of Trev Hellen. Ludlow's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastien Tuck in the 65th minute of play forced Ludlow's goalkeeper Trev Hellen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trev Hellen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leroy Milner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastien Tuck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute of the match Stefan Marenghi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Trev Hellen skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kris Blackwell in the 74th minute of play forced Ludlow's goalkeeper Trev Hellen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Witney were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Ludlow's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Stefan Marenghi took the corner. Witney's Stefan Marenghi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Trev Hellen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Trev Hellen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Downing, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hayden Law in the 82nd minute of play forced Ludlow's goalkeeper Trev Hellen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trev Hellen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Downing in the 83rd minute of play. Louie Reid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Witney's goal looked a bit too open when Louie Reid came free, but Jermaine Pennant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 minutes, Stephen Longley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ludlow and the Witney players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 96 played minutes Ludlow got a freekick which was hit by Stephen Longley. If Kris Blackwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
