Thanks to some nice moves Joey Wheeler could shoot a difficult shot in the 12th minute, which Calum Hirst however easily saved by the left post. LA FC's Syd Sutton quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Damon Monkhouse might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Calum Hirst. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damon Monkhouse ran back to his position shaking his head. 36 minutes into the match, Windsor's goalkeeper Calum Hirst had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Bedford. If Joey Wheeler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Verne Kirkpatrick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Robson in the 43rd minute of play forced LA FC's goalkeeper Kelvin Jordoan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 44 played minutes LA FC got a freekick which was hit by Syd Sutton. Calum Hirst made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Joey Wheeler sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kyle Robson made a kick off. Calum Hirst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joey Wheeler, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. With an all-out effort, Windsor's Kelvin Jordoan threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Des Munroe, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee felt a red card was in order, 53 minutes into the game, when Brandon Bentham put in a rough tackle. After 54 played minutes LA FC got a freekick which was hit by Brandon Bentham. Kyle Robson took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kelvin Jordoan. Kelvin Jordoan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Joey Wheeler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kelvin Jordoan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Gavan, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Ivan Bedford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 72 minutes into the game, Des Munroe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kelvin Jordoan. Des Munroe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Kelvin Jordoan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Robson, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After a defensive mix-up in LA FC's zone, Kyle Robson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kelvin Jordoan came out of the goal and Kyle Robson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 93 minutes into the match, Frank Gavan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kelvin Jordoan. LA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Gavan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. The Windsor supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Windsor would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
