In the 9th minute, Jordan Wilkins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the game, Chelsea Football Club's John Paul Pitts nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alf Mortimer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Anthony Bateman hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, Chelsea Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Dry came free, but Sidney Straker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Chelsea Football Club booed when Medway FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Dry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alf Mortimer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gez Reading in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to Medway FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Felix Dry hit a great ball. Felix Dry could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Sidney Straker made a huge save. 42 minutes into the match, Felix Dry had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sidney Straker. Chelsea Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Dry was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 47th minute, Walter Tetley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felix Dry was the one to do the kick off. Todd McGrath might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sidney Straker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Todd McGrath ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Chelsea Football Club getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Norman Fenton hit a great ball. In the 55th minute Felix Dry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Straker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidney Straker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Dry in the 57th minute of play. Wally Heath lost his temper 59 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Medway FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! In the 65th minute, Felix Dry ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sidney Straker was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Felix Dry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Straker having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Garry Foster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jordan Wilkins during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pete Straker charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pete Straker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Chelsea Football Club getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Chelsea Football Club's Sidney Straker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Dry in the 79th minute of play. Sidney Straker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kirk Durkin in the 82nd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Medway FC's Felix Dry sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sidney Straker narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
