Roseburn Rovers's Lawrence Knowles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Roseburn Rovers from getting a goal against them. Felix Dry blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lawrence Knowles having to make a save. 22 minutes in the game Philip Wildman did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Terry Ryder. Felix Dry's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Lawrence Knowles skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alf Mortimer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendon Whittingham, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. John-Paul Baxter's late challenge caught a Medway FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John-Paul Baxter helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Medway FC booed when Roseburn Rovers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. John-Paul Baxter didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Roseburn Rovers's goalkeeper Lawrence Knowles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Felix Dry ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lawrence Knowles was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 46 minutes into the game, Felix Dry cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Lawrence Knowles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felix Dry to make the kick off. In the 62nd minute, Felix Dry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Medway FC fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Medway FC's Felix Dry looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 79 minutes, Gaz Dothery mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Roseburn Rovers and the Medway FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Medway FC's Felix Dry got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lawrence Knowles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 95 played minutes Medway FC got a freekick which was hit by Trevor Jones. Medway FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
