Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Roger Blowman started the match with the kick off. Rex Brennan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Barrie Stride. An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Roger Blowman got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. A hard shot 9 in the game by Jasper Morning from a close distance when the talented Rex Brennan managed to make a qualified save. Lindfield's players were relieved. Roger Blowman was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 10th minute. Watchet's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jasper Morning's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Rex Brennan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Lindfield's Rex Brennan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Lindfield from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calum Bland during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lindfield! In the 16th minute there was a penalty for Watchet. Barrie Stride stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rex Brennan. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Lindfield's zone, Roger Blowman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rex Brennan came out of the goal and Roger Blowman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jasper Morning could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Rex Brennan made a huge save. Sacha York took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keanu Postolan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rex Brennan was a little too slow when Roger Blowman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-0. 30 minutes into the match, Watchet's Roger Blowman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rex Brennan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 31 minutes into the game, Lenny Stockley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lindfield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Watchet the free kick. The supporters of Watchet booed when Lindfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lenny Stockley didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roger Blowman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Brennan having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Buster Browne sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Rex Brennan threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Buster Browne this time. In the 35th minute, Roger Blowman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roger Blowman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Brennan having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Keanu Postolan made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Lindfield booed when Watchet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nathanial Alcock didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rex Brennan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jasper Morning in the 54th minute of the match. Rex Brennan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Blowman in the 57th minute of play. Sacha York showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keanu Postolan in the 58th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Roger Blowman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Watchet's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Blowman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rex Brennan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jasper Morning fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Brennan having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Roger Blowman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rex Brennan. Lindfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roger Blowman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jasper Morning in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rex Brennan saved Lindfield from getting behind. Rex Brennan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Blowman in the 72nd minute of play. Jasper Morning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Watchet's Jasper Morning got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roger Blowman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jasper Morning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sacha York came out and tried to block the shot, but Craig Downing slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 83rd minute. 87 minutes into the match, Watchet's Roger Blowman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rex Brennan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Jasper Morning had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rex Brennan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Blowman in the 91st minute of the match. Jasper Morning fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Brennan having to interfere. When Roger Blowman came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Watchet fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roger Blowman couldn't finish the play. Jasper Morning struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Rex Brennan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Watchet.
