Athletic Club London FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scarborough AFC the free kick. After 3 played minutes Athletic Club London FC got a freekick which was hit by Nigel Boyes. After 6 played minutes Athletic Club London FC got a freekick which was hit by Damon Sheldon. The long shot by Rio Rowling in the 7th minute really tested Fitz Donnelly's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vince Burgess in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fitz Donnelly saved Athletic Club London FC from getting behind. Fitz Donnelly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vince Burgess in the 11th minute of the match. Fitz Donnelly was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Vince Burgess capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vince Burgess really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Scarborough AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ben Proctor in the 17th minute. The corner led Scarborough AFC's Ben Proctor to fire away a dangerous shot which Fitz Donnelly despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Shane Portway took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damon Sheldon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fitz Donnelly was a little too slow when Vince Burgess got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Graeme Farrow got free with Fitz Donnelly in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Athletic Club London FC's Damon Sheldon in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Scarborough AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 35 minutes into the match, Scarborough AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Devon Potter came free, but Shane Portway reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Graeme Farrow who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Fitz Donnelly when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, Athletic Club London FC's Fitz Donnelly got control of the ball when Graeme Farrow tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vince Burgess scored 4-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fitz Donnelly, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th play minute Graeme Farrow came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fitz Donnelly. 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Graeme Farrow made the kick off in the second half. Shane Portway made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Damon Sheldon sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barry Percival during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Scarborough AFC booed when Athletic Club London FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barry Percival didn't get a good kick on the ball. Scarborough AFC's Graeme Farrow got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute Devon Potter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shane Portway saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Athletic Club London FC booed when Scarborough AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iain Keane didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shane Portway showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Devon Potter in the 68th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Athletic Club London FC's Shane Portway threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luke Lockwood, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jamal Gulliver charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jamal Gulliver the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jamal Gulliver hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 73 minutes into the match, Athletic Club London FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pierre Huckerby came free, but Fitz Donnelly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fitz Donnelly showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Graeme Farrow in the 74th minute of the match. Fitz Donnelly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vince Burgess, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the game, Damon Sheldon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Shane Portway. Damon Sheldon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Devon Potter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Athletic Club London FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Devon Potter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shane Portway breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Shane Portway was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Damon Sheldon showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-2 in the 83 minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Luke Lockwood dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Shane Portway, 5-3. With his leg Shane Portway managed to avoid a goal in the 96thth minute, when Athletic Club London FC's Nigel Boyes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Scarborough AFC had won after a very even match.
