The supporters of FC Partizan Minsk booed when Middlesbrough Ironopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix McCartney didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Middlesbrough Ironopolis's George Halliday sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jamal Weatherhead narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 7 played minutes FC Partizan Minsk got a freekick which was hit by Jack Rotherfield. Casey Oliver took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jamal Weatherhead. Jamal Weatherhead dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in FC Partizan Minsk's zone, George Halliday stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jamal Weatherhead came out of the goal and George Halliday tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 13 minutes into the game, when Jack Rotherfield put in a rough tackle. In the 12th minute, one of FC Partizan Minsk:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Partizan Minsk. The referee gave Middlesbrough Ironopolis a penalty, 14 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by George Halliday, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Partizan Minsk's Jamal Weatherhead. 0-2. Jamal Weatherhead showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casey Oliver in the 17th minute of the match. Dom Hume received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tyrone Hartshorn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Middlesbrough Ironopolis's Stan Myers got a free kick in the 19th minute. Stan Myers's late challenge caught a FC Partizan Minsk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stan Myers helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, Middlesbrough Ironopolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stan Myers to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Middlesbrough Ironopolis's Felix McCartney got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 27 minutes into the game, Jonathon Long recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tyrone Hartshorn. Jonathon Long showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. After 31 played minutes Middlesbrough Ironopolis got a freekick which was hit by David Dove. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Peter Chipperfield managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Partizan Minsk's supporters rose to their feet, but Peter Chipperfield was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tyrone Hartshorn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 33 minutes into the game, David Dove was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Middlesbrough Ironopolis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Partizan Minsk the free kick. David Dove hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Devon Willetts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dom Hume recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, Kris Stubbs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jamal Weatherhead made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casey Oliver in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Middlesbrough Ironopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Dom Hume came free, but Tyrone Hartshorn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Middlesbrough Ironopolis's goalkeeper Tyrone Hartshorn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dom Hume. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dom Hume was the one to do the kick off. Jamal Weatherhead showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casey Oliver, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 58th minute, Jonathon Long ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tyrone Hartshorn was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 61st minute of the match, George Halliday got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jamal Weatherhead was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Jamal Weatherhead took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casey Oliver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jamal Weatherhead made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casey Oliver in the 65th minute of play. Lenny Carr's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jamal Weatherhead firmly grabbed it by the left post. George Halliday sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, FC Partizan Minsk's goal looked a bit too open when Casey Oliver came free, but Jamal Weatherhead reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, FC Partizan Minsk's Jamal Weatherhead got control of the ball when Stan Myers tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 75 played minutes FC Partizan Minsk got a freekick which was hit by Rowan Bacon. George Halliday could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Jamal Weatherhead made a huge save. In the 79th minute of the match Middlesbrough Ironopolis got a corner. FC Partizan Minsk's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. George Halliday ran over to the corner to take the kick. George Halliday made a great header on Middlesbrough Ironopolis's corner, it was just that FC Partizan Minsk's Jamal Weatherhead managed to reach the ball for a save. Tyrone Hartshorn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathon Long in the 81st minute of the match. After 81 played minutes FC Partizan Minsk got a freekick which was hit by Rowan Bacon. George Halliday might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jamal Weatherhead. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. George Halliday ran back to his position shaking his head. George Halliday scored 2-3 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jamal Weatherhead, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wes Izzard charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wes Izzard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. George Halliday succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-4 in the 92nd playminute. FC Partizan Minsk's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when George Halliday scored to the left of an out of position Jamal Weatherhead, making the score, 2-5. The FC Partizan Minsk supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Middlesbrough Ironopolis's performance. The match ended with a win for Middlesbrough Ironopolis.
