A collision led to Reggina Rangers FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Larry Hassell hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Seth England notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Reggina Rangers FC's George Milton. George Milton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 18 minutes, Stefan Hayles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Reggina Rangers FC and the St. Etienne players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Reggina Rangers FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Stefan Hayles hit a great ball. George Milton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Seth England, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Seth England scored 3-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of George Milton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Stefan Hayles came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Reggina Rangers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Hayles couldn't finish the play. St. Etienne's Joe Ellerby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Hayles in the 26th minute of play. After 28 minutes, Cliff Johnson made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. St. Etienne's Joe Ellerby tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marek Chilton during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 32 played minutes St. Etienne got a freekick which was hit by Marek Chilton. After 35 minutes of play, Reggina Rangers FC's Cliff Johnson made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joe Ellerby was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Reggina Rangers FC's George Milton got control of the ball when Joel Castledine tried to sneak it across the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Stefan Hayles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joe Ellerby. St. Etienne's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stefan Hayles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. After 43 played minutes Reggina Rangers FC got a freekick which was hit by Cliff Johnson. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cliff Johnson in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joe Ellerby prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Reggina Rangers FC booed when St. Etienne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kyle Hurdle didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 3-3 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Seth England made a kick off. Vernon Leslie hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the game, Joel Castledine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. St. Etienne's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Reggina Rangers FC the free kick. A collision led to St. Etienne getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Joel Castledine hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the game, Stefan Hayles recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joe Ellerby. Stefan Hayles showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stefan Hayles got free with Joe Ellerby in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marek Chilton kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Kyle Hurdle kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. When Marek Chilton was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 74 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, St. Etienne's Marek Chilton got a free kick in the 74th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cliff Johnson in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joe Ellerby saved St. Etienne from getting behind. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Reggina Rangers FC's goalkeeper George Milton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Harvey Branch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The St. Etienne fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stefan Hayles got free with Joe Ellerby in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
