Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Julian Davenport kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Wakefield Wanderers getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Julian Davenport hit a great ball. A hard shot 4 in the game by Jack Taylor from a close distance when the talented Louie Hicks managed to make a qualified save. Wakefield Wanderers's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jack Taylor got free with Louie Hicks in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Louie Hicks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Riad in the 8th minute of play. Kristian Tanner hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. When Nancy AFC's Jimmy Riad in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wakefield Wanderers's goalie prevented a goal. In the 18th minute Sam Lowe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Louie Hicks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Nancy AFC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Dom Woodman hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodney Kessler got free with Louie Hicks in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the match, Wakefield Wanderers's goalkeeper Louie Hicks had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jack Taylor. Louie Hicks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Taylor in the 36th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Nial Sherman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jack Taylor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Louie Hicks made a huge save. In the 42nd minute Jimmy Riad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Louie Hicks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Louie Hicks came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Nancy AFC's Jimmy Riad. But to his dismay, Jimmy Riad quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Alastair Quantrill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Gardner having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jack Taylor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Louie Hicks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sam Lowe in the 53rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Wakefield Wanderers's Alastair Quantrill got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 56th play minutes Jack Taylor shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Louie Hicks and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 59th minute, one of Wakefield Wanderers:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Wakefield Wanderers. Walter Gardner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Davenport in the 65th minute of the match. In the 68th match minute, Nancy AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfie Downham to maneuver through the defense. Wakefield Wanderers's Kristian Tanner shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 69th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Walter Gardner but with some difficulty. 71 minutes into the game, Wakefield Wanderers's Alastair Quantrill nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Walter Gardner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Wakefield Wanderers's Louie Hicks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sam Lowe in the 76th minute of play. Jack Taylor took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Louie Hicks. Louie Hicks dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. After a defensive mix-up in Wakefield Wanderers's zone, Jimmy Riad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Louie Hicks came out of the goal and Jimmy Riad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Sam Lowe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nancy AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sam Lowe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Louie Hicks breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the match, Jimmy Riad notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Wakefield Wanderers's Louie Hicks. Louie Hicks was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Louie Hicks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sam Lowe in the 89th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmy Riad in the 90th minute of play forced Wakefield Wanderers's goalkeeper Louie Hicks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jimmy Riad came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Nancy AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimmy Riad couldn't finish the play. Sam Lowe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 99th minute Jack Taylor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Louie Hicks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Nancy AFC had played much better football throughout.
