Polzeath's John-Paul Nevin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Polzeath from getting a goal against them. John-Paul Nevin came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Troyes FC's Duncan Farrell. But to his dismay, Duncan Farrell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Ruben Dickens's late challenge caught a Polzeath's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruben Dickens helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Polzeath booed when Troyes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Dickens didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cliff Whittington during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cliff Whittington hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Steve Stamer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kristian Sykes. Troyes FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kristian Sykes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Rogers in the 45th minute of the match. The supporters of Troyes FC booed when Polzeath was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Rogers didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Duncan Farrell made a kick off. Cliff Whittington kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Polzeath's zone, Duncan Farrell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John-Paul Nevin came out of the goal and Duncan Farrell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Polzeath getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Syd Kinsey hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Troyes FC's Lance Cambridge broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 64th minute, Duncan Farrell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Polzeath getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Franz Scargill hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, Troyes FC's Lance Cambridge broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 84 minutes into the match, Troyes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Rogers came free, but Kristian Sykes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 88 played minutes, Polzeath's Jeff Bateman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kristian Sykes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Polzeath reached it. Alf Croft kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Duncan Farrell made a precise shot to the right of John-Paul Nevin. Polzeath's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Troyes FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Richard Rogers scored to the left of an out of position Kristian Sykes, making the score, 3-4.
