Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nicholas Joynes got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Nicholas Joynes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicholas Joynes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicholas Joynes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John-Paul Nevin having to interfere. Nicholas Joynes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. John-Paul Nevin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute of the match, Nat Connor tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but John-Paul Nevin saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Nicholas Joynes struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. John-Paul Nevin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fowey FC. Fowey FC's Jamie Berryman quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Conan Hogg, made in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 22nd minute, Fowey FC's Jamie Berryman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Syd Kinsey hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Polzeath defense, Nat Connor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of John-Paul Nevin. The Polzeath fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that John-Paul Nevin should have stopped the shot. Polzeath's John-Paul Nevin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicholas Joynes in the 33rd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Fowey FC's goal looked a bit too open when Darius Bell came free, but Mickey Bramble reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicholas Joynes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John-Paul Nevin having to interfere. In the 39th minute Darius Bell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickey Bramble saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, David Beckett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fowey FC's supporters rose to their feet, but David Beckett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John-Paul Nevin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Polzeath's John-Paul Nevin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nat Connor in the 43rd minute of play. Nicholas Joynes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 46th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Richard Rogers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Syd Kinsey hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Fowey FC's Ron Stonehouse got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nicholas Joynes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Darius Bell got free with Mickey Bramble in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 68 minutes, Franz Scargill mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Polzeath and the Fowey FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 68 played minutes Polzeath got a freekick which was hit by Franz Scargill. A collision led to Polzeath getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Conan Hogg hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute, Richard Rogers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Beckett's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but John-Paul Nevin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Mickey Bramble made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darius Bell in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franz Scargill in the 81st minute of play forced Fowey FC's goalkeeper Mickey Bramble to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Nat Connor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Conan Hogg charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Conan Hogg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Polzeath getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Conan Hogg hit a great ball. Nicholas Joynes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fowey FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
